Biography

Cyran Fan is a painter, living in Hong Kong. He graduated from art school, major painting. Cyran’s works reveals the mental accusing and response of people due to the bustle and hustle of city life. His works integrates with oriental and western factors, character figures as theme, uniqueness in distorted faces with oriental features. the glorious and solmn color,mostly dark color tone, the play in colors are influenced by the western Classicism. Cyran’s paintings create a gloomy atmospere and hence a great deal of contrast to depicting some amusing charaters with playful movement. With the use of simple lines, dark color tone and neat coating skill,the art pieces feature exquisitely detailed facial expression and body movement. The charaters wearing repeated smiley and cute faces reveal a sense of unease depression, whilst their empty eyes show a feeling of lethargy: their movements are seemingly intended to be playful, yet suggest moments of hesitation and weakness.
